Installation Workmanship Warranty

All flooring and cabinet installations performed by Lonestar Flooring and Cabinets are guaranteed to meet industry standards and manufacturer specifications. If an installation defect is identified — such as improper seaming, uneven installation, or premature failure attributable to our workmanship — we will return to address the issue at no additional cost to you. Please contact us within a reasonable time of noticing any concern so we can assess and resolve it promptly.

Manufacturer Product Warranties

The flooring and cabinet products we install are backed by the warranties provided by their respective manufacturers. These warranties vary by product line and brand, but generally cover defects in materials, structural integrity, and surface wear under normal residential use conditions.

Product Typical Warranty Coverage:

Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) - 15–25 year residential wear warranty (varies by product)

Engineered Hardwood - 25–50 year structural warranty; finish warranties vary

Solid Hardwood - Structural warranty; refinishable multiple times over decades

Laminate - 10–25 year wear warranty (varies by product tier)

Carpet - Stain resistance, texture retention, and fiber warranties vary by brand and fiber type

Cabinetry - Defects in wood, hardware, and finishes; duration varies by manufacturer

Detailed warranty documentation for your specific products will be provided at the time of purchase.

Maintaining Your Warranty

To keep manufacturer warranties valid, proper maintenance and care are required. Key considerations include the following.

Hardwood and Engineered Hardwood

Indoor humidity should be maintained between 35% and 55% to prevent expansion, contraction, and structural damage. Use only manufacturer-recommended cleaning products and avoid excessive moisture during cleaning.

Luxury Vinyl Plank and Laminate

Avoid using abrasive cleaners or steam mops, which can damage the surface finish and void the warranty.

Carpet

Regular vacuuming and prompt treatment of spills are essential. Professional cleaning is recommended periodically, following the manufacturer's guidelines for your specific fiber type.

Cabinetry

Avoid prolonged exposure to excessive moisture or steam, particularly near dishwashers and sinks, and use appropriate cleaning products for the finish type.

Warranty Exclusions

Manufacturer warranties generally do not cover damage resulting from improper maintenance, misuse, flooding, subfloor movement, or modifications made after installation. Our installation workmanship warranty does not cover damage caused by events outside our control, including structural shifts, water intrusion, or improper post-installation care.
